Department History:

Department of Geography was established in the year 1992. Since, the establishment of the Dept. Hundreds of students are graduated without Honours. Honours subject was introduced in the session of 2017-2018. To date, two batches (2020 batch & 2021 batch) are graduated with 100% 1^st Class Results

Vision:

The vision of the Dept. to provide an utmost opportunity for higher education to SC, ST, other backward and deprived sections and students of fringe areas in particular. Dept. of Geography aims to provide scope and encourages the students for holistic development

Mission:

• To shape the Department a model.
• To provide academic opportunities to the students.
• To impart education to economically weaker section with utmost effort.
• Arrangement for additional remedial classes for the betterment of the students.
• To promote scientific and humanistic approaches towards life.
• Encouraging students to take part in socio-cultural activities as well as in sports.
