L.T.K. College is situated in rural areas surrounded by greeneries and paddy fields. Its atmosphere is calm and serene suitable for pursuits of study away from the humdrum noise of industrial locations. The college planning and development committee has formulated policies to materialize the concept of “Green LTK Clean Campus”. The Concept of Green L.T.K. Clean Campus is to evaluate the environmental standards and better the use of sustainable management. Moreover, there has been a relationship between Sustainable development and Green L.T.K. Clean Campus, and both help to reduce wastage and increase product quality.

A committee is constituted help to supervise and monitor the activity components of the Green L.T.K. Clean Campus concept note. The operations of Green L.T.K. Clean Campus will be undertaken with the goal of improving energy and water usage efficiency and developing the campus in an environment-friendly manner for a sustainable future. Incorporation of green practices will reduce dependence on fuels, better waste management, and conservation of natural resources and surroundings.

Green L.T.K. Clean Campus is a committee framed by L.T.K. College management with a convenor and two facilities members of the colleges. The main aim and objectives of this committee to look after the college boundary as an eco-friendly environment. The objectives of this committee may be:

1. Encourage good habits and awareness of pollution-free environmental knowledge among students.

2. Help fourth grade or SAFAI KARMI to clean hazardous materials from the college campus.

3. Pay special attention to the college campus maintenance keep it clean and make green vegetation.

4. Make sure to restock hygiene products regularly like hand wash, sanitizer, toilet paper, wipes, towels, etc. especially during winter when viruses are common.

5. Committee will organize awareness camp workshops on clean campus among staff, students and facilities by hiring experts.

         

 

CHIEF MINISTERS INSTITUTIONAL PLANTATION PROGRAMME (CMIPP)

The Govt. of Assam is going to launch a massive plantation programme under the schemes Chief Minister’s Institutional Programme (CMIPP), commencing from 18^th July to 15^th August 2022. Coinciding with the completion of the year-long collaboration of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Therefore, we are making the month-long arrangement in our institution and asked the teachers and students to actively participate in the plantation programme. As a part of the programme L.T.K. College takes an active part jointly, with Green L.T.K. College A clean campus, L.T.K College. Eco Club, NSS, NCC, Our targeted planning for a new plantation of 100 nos. of different types of plants. This Program started on 18^th July and now it is actively going on.
